REPAIR POLICY

D|+ Sign KelCHer is proud to serve you.

PAYMENTS AND PICK UPS

 

We accept cash, Zelle, and most credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express). We cannot accept personal check or cashapp.

​

For all repairs (dropped off/Picked up or booked online), we ask for the full payment upfront, which will of course, be applied to the final cost of the work. For online repair orders, the repair amount will be reserved on your card after checkout.

​

If  for any reason you decide not to go ahead with your repair, as long as we haven’t begun, there will be a $20 Delivery Service Fee will be deducted, to return the item(s), from your refund. However, all stressing customizations are non-refundable, even if we have not begun the strassing process.

​

If you are picking up goods at one of our repair centers, please bring the repair ticket that was given to you when you dropped off your items for repair.

 

If, for whatever reason, you lose your ticket, you will need to describe the item and show us a picture ID. We keep records of all transactions and we can match your name with your item for a secure return to you of what is yours.

​

If you can’t come in to pick up your repaired item(s) you can give the repair ticket to a friend. Anyone with that ticket can pick up the work (assuming they pay the balance), so keep your ticket safe. If you lose the ticket, call us and let us know NOT to honor it.

 

PLEASE NOTE: For goods that have been dropped off/picked up, a fee of $10/week will be applied starting 4 weeks from the commission completion date. After 4 weeks months from the comission completion date, we will handle/dispose of the goods at our own discretion.

Cleaning, Dyeing, Repairing, Alterations, Stretching, Strassing:

​

  • While we are skilled in the craft of leather repair, we cannot guarantee that cleaning, dyeing, repairing, altering, or stretching will return your item to its original condition.

​

  • We do our best to select and utilize the appropriate process that is suited for your item.

​

  • Work performed cannot be undone or returned back to the pre-repair condition.

​

  • There are no refunds on any repairs, cleaning, dyeing, alterations, stretches or strassed customizations.

​

  • Dyed & Strassed items may look different when viewed in different lighting.

​

  • We offer original hardware for many brands, but not all.

​

  • We provide good faith estimates as to when repairs and customizations will be completed and/or shipped; they are not to be considered deadlines.

 

Shipping

​

  • D|+ Sign KelCHer is not liable for any items damaged, lost, or stolen once the shipping carrier has picked up the package. If your item was damaged, lost, or stolen, please contact the shipping carrier to file a claim.

​

  • D|+ Sign KelCHer is not responsible for the incorrect delivery location by the shipping carrier.

​

  • The customer is responsible for entering his or her return shipping address. D|+ Sign KelCHer is not responsible for errors made when the form is completed by the customer.

​

PLEASE NOTE:  BY SHIPPING ANY ITEM TO D|+ SIGN KELCHER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT D|+ SIGN KELCHER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LATE, LOST, DAMAGED OR MISDIRECTED MAIL.

 

Returns/Refunds

​

  • Work performed cannot be undone and returned back to the pre-repair condition.

​

  • All repairs and customizations are final sale.

​

PLEASE NOTE: Occasionally, items may arrive at our offices in an unworkable or defective condition due to age, fragility, damage, or any other condition we are not responsible for. If that happens, we will provide a reason why the item cannot be repaired and we will refund the repair charge in full, minus shipping charges, and the original item(s) will be shipped back at the customer’s expense. We do not charge an additional fee to review an item.

Mail-In Orders (Domestic and International)

​

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to list all repairs requested on the Mail-in Repair Form under “Repairs Needed”, so we can provide a price for the requested repairs. Repairs not listed will not be quoted or worked on.

​

  • After an item has been received and assessed in our shop, if the customer declines all repair quotes, there will be a nominal shipping fee to return item(s) to a US address, according to the chart below. For International addresses, we recommend that customers mail their items along with a pre-paid return shipping label.

​

We recommend that customers contact us to get an Initial Photo Repair Assessment and an idea of pricing before mailing in an item, by providing photos and a note explaining the areas needing repair.

​

Price Ranges for US Return Shipping*

​

  • All mail-in customers will be contacted within approximately 2 business days upon the receipt of their item at D|+ Sign KelCHer. In the event the customer does not provide D|+ Sign KelCHer authorization to work on the item or does not request return of the item within four weeks of being received, the item will be considered unclaimed property and D|+ Sign KelCHer will handle the item(s) accordingly - in which we will handle and/or dispose of the goods at our own discretion.

​

  • Free return shipping applies for mail-in repair services totaling $300 or more, within the continental U.S.

​

Atlanta Drop-Off Orders

​

  • After two weeks from the commission completion date, customers are notified that their items are repaired and ready for pickup. At this time a fee of $10/week will be applied to all items from the commission completion date and any unclaimed items will be sent to storage. 

​

  • After four weeks from the commission completion date, any unclaimed items will be considered unclaimed property and D|+ Sign KelCHer will handle accordingly and at our discretion.

​

Pickup and Drop-off Service (available in Atlanta)

​

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to list all repairs requested on the Pickup Service Form under “Repairs Needed”, so we can provide a price for the requested repairs. Repairs not listed will not be quoted or worked on.

​

  • Delivery Service Fee is $20 to pick up and drop off any number of items identified on each Pickup Service Form.

​

  • After an item has been received and assessed in our shop, if the customer declines all repair quotes, there will be a $20 Delivery Service Fee to return the item(s).

​

  • The customer is responsible for entering his or her address on the Pickup Service Form. D|+ Sign KelCHer is not responsible for errors made when the form is completed by the customer.

​

  • We will return your item with care and in a weather-safe package. Once an item has been returned to the address the customer provided on the Pickup Service Form, D|+ Sign KelCHer is not liable for any item that is damaged, lost, or stolen.

 

OTHERS

​

  • D|+ Sign KelCHer specializes in functional repair. Items of appreciated value, antiques, and other valuable items may have a diminished monetary value after customer-requested repair services are completed.

​

  • The use of the words “restore”, “restoring”, or “restoration” on this website does not mean we can bring any item back to “brand new” or “original factory condition.”

​

UPDATES AND MODIFICATIONS

 

It may be necessary for D|+ Sign KelCHer to periodically update the Policies and Terms of Use. D|+ Sign KelCHer reserves the right to update or amend these Policies and Terms of Use at any time. Any such change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon posting the modified version of the Terms of Use on the Site. It is your responsibility to review the Site from time to time to ensure that you continue to agree with all of the Policies and Terms of Use.
